Yes, NHL clearly needs to start taking their few thousand fans over seas more into consideration. It was extremely rude of them to not remember that most of us would be a) on the ass end of nowhere, b) drunk c) both, and as such could not participate in the excitement. But yea for drunk posting.
So, maybe try and focus on just getting everything horrible out of the way and then spend lots and lots of time talking about 2011? I've been trying to employ this tactic, and for the most part, it does in fact work. The problem is doing research and muddling through the bad years, and then at some point having to go and watch highlight reels from '95 and '11 just to remind myself, that yes, good things do in fact happen every now and again. And then it takes a while before I'm able to go back to thinking about all the times things have gone wrong.
Clearly I have the worst friends, and I'll never listen to their opinions when it comes to what movies to watch, ever again. Prometheus was such complete waste of everything.
