For my prompt at the

hockeypediaprimerfest, I chose the LA Kings' incredible goaltender Jonathan Quick. For most part this will be a pretty straight forward vidspam, but before getting to that, let's take a brief look at his

Born January 21, 1986 in Milford, CT, USA, Quick's hockey career began with the Mid Fairfield hockey assosiation. After playing his junior career with the Avon Old Farms, he was drafted 3^rd round, 72^nd overall by the LA Kings in 2005. After two years of collage hockey with the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he turned pro in 2007 with the ECHL's Reading Royals. He also played his first NHL game, in December 2007 a 8-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres.

A year later, Quick started with the Manchester Monarcs, the LA Kings' AHL team and was called up the the Big Show in December 2008. On December 23, 2008 Quick recorded his first career shutout against the Colombus Blue Jackets. Ranking third amongst the league's rookie goaltenders in wins, goals-against, save percentage, shutouts, appearences AND saves Quick finished the regular season with 91.4% save percentage in 44 games played.

By the following season Quick already secured his spot as the Kings number one goalie, playing career high 72 games with 90.7% save percentage and 2.54 GAA. Since then he has yet to play less than 60 games in a season, and with 35 or more wins in each of those seasons, he is the first King to win 30+ games in three consecutive seasons.

In 2010 Quick was selected to be a part of the USA hockey team at the Vancouver Olympics. He however didn't get to play in any games, being a back-up for Ryan Miller and Tim Thomas. Maybe 2014..

And then in 2011-12 season, he led the LA Kings to their first ever Stanley Cup Championship. During his record-breaking season, Quick set franchise single season records in shutouts(10), save percentage(92.9%) and goals-against average (1.95), earning him his first Vezina Trophy nomination. And then he went on to dominate the post-season, with 16 wins in 20 games. His 1.41 GAA was best amongs the play-off goalies. Along with the Conn Smythe Award and Stanley Cup, the Kings also awarded Quick with their own MVP award, as well as the Best Defensive Player and Most Inspirational Player awards.

They also gave him a 10-year $58-million contract extension, kicking in 2013, making Quick a King all the way up to the 2022-23 season. Quick is the first King to receive contract so long. Clearly the Kings love their goalie.

I would like to mention, that he seems more uncomfortable on camera here, than in any other interview combined.

In 2012 Quick played at his first All-Star Game, where he got drafted third round, sixth overall, thanks to fellow goalie Henrik Lundqvist serving as alternative captain on Team Alfredsson.

Married to his childhood sweetheart, they have a two year old daughter, who is possibly the most adorable thing ever.

When not stopping pucks after pucks on the ice, Quick spends time playing fantasy football

Whoever runs the L.A. Kings Twitter is an asshole in the most amusing way possible ^_^ I wonder if that is a requirement all the teams have for their official accounts.

The All-Star Weekend was filled with hilarious stuff this year. That interview Henke did with Quickie is pretty damn amusing (and yeah, their goalie-crushes are very, very obvious).

Sigh, fantasy football. I find american football about as interesting as I find cricket (i.e. not at all), so I just don't get why anyone would want to spend time doing a fantasy team for it. But he really seems quite into it, doesn't he?
